What is an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) and why is it so important to authors?
Prior to publication, select readers will receive an early copy of my work — Advance Reading Copy (ARC) — before it is available for mass distribution. These ARCs are sent out for free in exchange for an honest review of the book.
Publishers and authors know that reviews are the best way to spread the word about a book. After all, you tend to trust the opinions of fellow book lovers.
When reviews are posted to Amazon in the first week of a book’s release, it’s as if the stars align, rainbows are seen, kittens frolic…you get my drift. It’s a pretty wonderful thing for an author.
What are the perks?
As a member of my ARC Team, readers receive my newest releases for free. If I hadn’t already given birth, I’d offer up my first-born, but I’ve grown quite fond of him.
Still, you get my books and you get them before anybody else.
The only catch is that you post your honest review on Amazon.com and Goodreads.com on release day. You don’t have to provide a 5-star review…just an honest one.
How do I join?
1. I’ll send you an ecopy of my entire Chasing Shadows series comprised of the novellas “Believe” and “Trust.” Read them and then leave an honest online review.
2. Next, join my mailing list so that I can communicate with you and tell you about upcoming releases.
3. Finally, email me the links to your reviews of “Believe” and “Trust” c/o MiaFoxBooks(at)gmail.com, and tell me that you want to join the ARC team.
Thank you so much for considering to be one of my highly valued ARC reviewers. I wish I could show my appreciation by sending you a pile of chocolate chip cookies, but they’d probably crumble and melt in the mail. Besides, something tells me you’d probably prefer a book.
